According to the Singapore Study Abroad Network, the Singapore Lion City Chinese Network has conducted a questionnaire survey on 1,312 Chinese students studying in private schools in the local area. According to the survey results, 28% of Chinese students choose Singapore to use Singapore as a springboard to have the opportunity to further study or develop in a third country, while 22% of students are on low cost. Other reasons include parental arrangements, Chinese environment and high level of education.
As far as the current situation is concerned, 46% of the professional diplomas and advanced professional diplomas are enrolled, while only one in four Chinese students are pursuing a bachelor's degree and a master's degree.
In terms of elective subjects, most Chinese students choose to study liberal arts. From the age point of view, international students aged 21 to 25 account for more than half.
In addition, half of the people said they were not very satisfied with the school they were reading, and 58% of the students had a transfer experience, and 8% of them had transferred more than three times. It is understood that in a large number of transfer cases, there are many cases of parallel transfer. Many people transfer to school not for further study, but for dissatisfaction with existing schools.
For the future planning, 44% “return to the country”, 31% “go to the third country for further study” and 35% “continue to further study in Singapore”.
In the context of China's rapid economic development, more Chinese students are hoping to return to China to catch up with the “winding”; many people also use Singapore as a springboard, hoping to further study or develop in a third country; and choose to continue their studies in the local area. The number of people and immigrants who have stayed new jobs has reached 35%, indicating that Singapore itself still has considerable appeal.

就目前状况而言，就读专业文凭课程与高级专业文凭课程的人数占了46%，而仅有四分之一的中国留学生正修读大学学士文凭课程及硕士文凭课程。
在选读科目方面，大部分的中国留学生选择修读文科。从年龄来看，21岁至25岁的留学生占了一半以上。
另外，有一半的人表示对所读的学校感到不是很满意，而58%的学生有转校的经历，其中有8%的学生转学已经达3次以上。据了解，在大量的转学案例中，平行转学的情况很多。很多人转学并不是为了深造，而是对现有的学校不满。
对于未来的规划，44%“回国发展”，31%“去第三国家深造”，35%“继续在新加坡深造”。
在中国经济迅速发展的情况下，更多的中国留学生都希望能回国搭上“顺风车”；不少人也以新加坡作为跳板，希望将来能到第三国深造或发展；而选择继续在当地深造的人和留新工作移民的人达到了35%，显示新加坡本身仍有相当大的吸引力。
